Our Lady of Mount Carmel School

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School is a Roman Catholic school community of clergy, lay administration, faculty, staff, and parents who are engaged in an active partnership to educate the children entrusted to our care. Our primary purpose is to teach and guide children to live harmonious Christian lives as members of society and as citizens of a democratic nation. Students learn in a safe, nurturing environment enabling each child to develop his/her unique talents and abilities.

Our teachers are well-versed in pedagogical practices, combining state standards in curriculum with our highly-valued Guidelines for Catechesis.  We strive to serve our students and families academically, socially, and spiritually.  The Congregation of Catholic Education produced a document, The Religious Dimension of Education in a Catholic School, which states: 

“The religious dimension of the school climate is expressed through the celebration of Christian values in Word and Sacrament, in individual behaviour, in friendly and harmonious interpersonal relationships, and in a ready availability.”
